Looking Forward to Tomorrow!

Oh I'm excited for tomorrow, I'm finally going to get out of the house and pay a visit to some good friends of mine. Arranged play-dates are always fun, I just never manage to do them a whole lot. We'll be playing the Tales series, multiplayer. It's going to be exciting. Much better than being solo with AI that don't always know exactly know what they're doing most of the time.

So I discovered something late, or early? But it's probably late. There's going to be a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. The trailer can be found here. Gosh, movie producers are really running out of ideas to be remaking great classic horror movies. Out of all the possible movies that could and should be remade, they chose this one? Sometimes it's for the better, but I don't think this was the right movie to remake. I liked the original as is, and from the trailer, it looks worse than the original.

Before the Fame With a Touch of Coffee

Yahoo! articles, oh how nice they are. Filling you with information and news all around the world. Recently I just read an article about Lady Gaga before she had become famous and all that jazz. It's so strange to see her with her natural hair after you've been presented to her as Gaga for a long time. Awkwardly enough, her facial features didn't look so strange back then than they do now. I'd say her nose looked smaller in that video compared to how she is now, her wigs or possibly actual hair just make her look like a dog to me, but I will say that I enjoy her as a performer. I think it's nice to know that there is someone out there in the music industry willing to be daring with how they put out their looks rather than all these other celebrities who just buy expensive clothing from all of those designers not really putting in their own touch to what they wear.

Something else that I read today on Yahoo! is that Starbucks will be having these instant coffee mixes being sold in little pouches. I'm not sure how that would do for them in sales, but I think that instant coffee Starbucks would taste like any other generic brand of coffee that could be store bought. I'm no coffee expert, but I do absolutely love the smell of coffee all around, I haven't had any in mornings for the longest time, mainly because I don't wake up in the morning, but rather, in the afternoon, and at that time, I think it's a not so very great time to be drinking coffee.

Filthy Clean

I was reading an article about "Five Germy Habits" on Yahoo! and realized that in some instances, I don't wash my hands for the moments that could potentially become really dangerous. Say for example, the article talks about how not having clean hands before rubbing your eyes, you could expose your eyes to potential threats such as eye infections from the bacteria on your hands. The person that had written this article explained how his doctor told him to treat his eyes like something sacred and untouchable. Which, I find to be legit, but you just can't help it if you're eyes are feeling itchy or feel like something is in them. It's just a spur of the moment. You just have to tend to the current problem and situation your eyes are facing.

Also what happened today was, I've gotten Mortal Kombat 4 ordered for me! Just a few days until it arrives, I'm excited for it. I hope that the disc is fine and playable. For six dollars, it was a used disc that was in an "acceptable condition." What they find to be in acceptable condition I've yet to discover, but hopefully it's not something horrific and will play just fine. Reviews for the person the game was ordered from had more positive reviews than negative ones, but you can't be too sure until you're experienced how their products are for yourself. If the disc isn't playable, I do hope that I'd be able to contact them, one of the complaints is that they did not respond to emails when customers tried to get hold of the seller.

Also, its come to my attention that I tend to type "Chamion's" rather than "Champions" in my earlier posts. For some reason I must have thought that there was some kind of possession going on and that I just had to have the apostrophe there. So hopefully in the future I won't make the same mistake. I'll leave my earlier posts alone and learn from those mistakes rather than try to hide them and make it seem like I've never even made some kind of mistake.

Fighting Games

Aside from the basic RPGs that I love, I've been craving to play a few fighting games myself. Ever since I've integrated Sonya into Champion's, I've been craving to play some Mortal Kombat. I've been recently binging on Kombat videos all over youtube for the longest time and through related videos, I relived Killer Instinct. I've yet to play any version of Instinct other than the Super Nintendo version, I'm not sure if there were other versions or not, I don't think it's popularity reaches that of Mortal Kombat, Tekken, or Street Fighter, etc status. I only say that because a majority of the people that I do speak to about fighting games usually never mentions Instinct, but all the others ones out there.

Later on this day, I was amazon looking to purchase myself a copy of Mortal Kombat 4, and found some unlikely games from the past labeled as "related." Vagrant Story, and Threads of Fate. Both were great games by Squaresoft for the Playstation back during the 90's. Vagrant Story I thought had interesting gameplay, to this day I'm still somewhat confused with it and don't really understand it since I didn't pay much attention to it, I just enjoyed myself. Since I've yet to play the game in such a long time and didn't think I'd ever get another chance to do so, I ended up watching the ending of the game on youtube and it certainly was a sad one.

Threads of Fate I remember less than VS, but all in all it was fun and a nice action RPG. I loved both characters, each had their own features that either made you like them or hate them. Mint for her magic and funky attitude, and the heroic Rue with his ability to change into monsters that he defeats in battle. Speaking of this, another game came into mind, those of the "of mana" series that I'd like to get in touch with again.

In other news, I've read an article that Namie Amuro may have a new album by the end of this year! I'm quite excited for this album and she's put out two new commercials that feature two new possible tracks that could be on the album, 'Copy That' and 'My Love.' Copy That I think would eventually grow onto me, but the moment that I heard My Love, I was strongly attached to it. I'm looking forward to listening to the full tracks of both songs, hopefully the both of them would be released soon, I'm really looking forward to listening to them!

Hello Panda!

Something that I forgot to mention a few days ago, was that I had this delicious chocolate filled biscuit cookie that I always enjoyed eating growing up. Sure, an Asian snack, but it was tasty nonetheless. Its been an absolutely long time since I've had a pack of them and I sure was delighted to eaten them again. The flavors of these cookies were the generic chocolate and/or strawberry, but those flavors are usually the ones in favor in most sweet snacks. Sadly, none of the flavors intermixed, it was always one or the other.

Character Brought to Life

I finally took screenshots of my character remake of Sonya. The costumes include her clothing from Mortal Kombat 3, the alternate second player color, and her alternate second player clothing from the fourth installment. I'd say this is the best character modeling I've done based on another character in Champion's. Sadly, the hat doesn't allow a ponytail to sprout out of the hat. The ponytail that they did offer was something horrendous and was nothing close to what the actual Sonya had.

I finally got them up, but I didn't exactly feel like editing the screenshots this time, so sorry for the large images other than the thumbnail provided.

Kombat

I still haven't gotten around to taking screenshots of my character recreations yet, I'll eventually get to them though. But lately I've been sticking to one character and haven't been really focusing on making other characters yet. I'm just having more fun playing the game than making characters at this point, it used to be the other way around.

Away from Champion's for a moment, I've been watching gameplay of someone playing Mortal Kombat 4 on youtube and I must say, he or she is a beast. To pull out so many combos so quickly and have very few losses on difficult levels is quite impressive. I can't even go through novice without dying a bunch of times. Click here if you're interested in watching videos of this person playing.

Also someone new that I discovered is ZOMGitsCriss. She's an intelligent atheist with strong logic followed by silly and witty humor. Her accent is quite nice to listen to although most accents I can't stand most of the time.

Oh Lawd

Oh dear, it seems like I missed one day of posting something out of saying that I'd "try to post every single day." I suppose that's what happens when you become addicted to doing something else for the moment, I think Champion's Online is taking control of my life just as World of Warcraft and Ragnarok Online had done so in the past. Well, I wouldn't say take control of my life, I still did other activities and went out when able to, but I did spend a lot of time playing those games.

Having quite a lot of fun emulating other video game characters into Champion's Online. I'll post up pictures later on tonight or tomorrow.

Rest

Not much was done today, I did however manage to get a whole lot of sleep. Aside from sleeping regularly, I ended up taking a nap for about one hour. That's something I don't do often. I guess my body was more tired than me being tired if that makes any sense.

Champion's Online and Mortal Kombat

So I was a little bored yesterday and started pondering what I should do with Champion's Online. It's fun to play and a nice alternative away from World of Warcraft, but lately, online games aren't really all that appealing to me anymore. They've just lost their touch for me. The big difference and what makes CO more entertaining though, is that they have a large database for character customization, so you have more choices to change your look and not look exactly like someone else unless it's by chance. The gameplay for the both of them are also similar, but for the moment, I'm more used to WoW since I have been playing it for a longer time than I have CO.

Anyway, onto what the title is about. I had a talk with my friend and was show
ing her some pictures of Mileena, a Mortal Kombat character, that I enjoyed playing in the beginnings of the Mortal Kombat series. I ended up making a character as close to her as I could, it's close, but of course, CO doesn't have every single piece of clothing that you need. And the result:

The image on the left is the character that I made, and the image on the right is the "blueprint" that I used for recreating her. It's not as close as I'd like it to be, but it doesn't look extremely ridiculous either.

I'm thinking that I may recreate more characters on CO, not just from MK, but from other games as well. Just need to figure out who I'd like to run around as first.

Now for some off topic goods. Remember how I was going on and on about Kanye's incident? Apparently there's a website for it now. A lot of comic relief is there, but some images weren't as funny as they could have been as they were not worded right and ended in "best EVER" instead of "of ALL TIME!" Either way, have a look and enjoy. It sure made me laugh. Link: http://imaletyoufinish.com/

"The Worst Foe Lies Within the Self"

Another day, another parody of Kanye's incident. There's plenty of those flying around and frankly, I think that it's going to last a few more weeks before it dies. References will always come up here and there, they usually do when some type of event like this happens. Or just any big event in general, just take a look at Michael Jackson's death. Ever since that time, more mysteries surrounding him have popped up and more and more media have taken on it. He was all over the news for an absolutely long time, but it's also because of his reputation, that's why it had gone on for so long.

Memories of the past came up for me today, a game that I very well enjoyed during the first Playstation era. Parasite Eve. I began watching the playthrough today on youtube and it sure brought back nice memories from the time that I did play it. At the time the graphics were really nice for a new age console, but compared to what we're pulling out today, it looked really bad. Most people argue gameplay over graphics, I'd like both to be fairly equal with each other. I'd like to enjoy what I'm playing, but I'd also like to enjoy what it is I'm looking at. Either way, it was an excellent game. It was rated M, but had nice RPG elements implemented into it which I thought was a little more interesting for it. Even though the battle style was somewhat turn based like Final Fantasy games, I was still quite the little chicken when it comes to playing any game that's horror, no matter how it's made. I guess you could say that the atmosphere of the game and it's music is what gave me the chills. Squaresoft did an amazing job with it. Actually, Squaresoft made a lot of great games, when it joined up with Enix, the quality of the games they were making weren't so great to me. The storyline was more along the lines of science, what with mitochondria taking over our bodies and whatnot. Music composition was lovable, and the intro movie before game start was amazing. First Steps

Here comes the first post of this long journey that is known as blogger/blogspot, what have you. New and first post since account creation and looking to see how long I'm able to keep this alive. Although my life is quite boring, I'm attempting to make entries from everyday followed by pictures to not make the posts that I make seem so boring. Profile and blog editing to come in the future, first things first, I have to figure out this site a little more before I could make more bold approaches. Looking forward to finding some great blogs and some great people. Occasionally I may make a vlog or voice baton, depending on my mood. Put a little more spice on my blog. So. Lets connect and have a blast. /end cheesy entry

I find myself to still be immature no matter how mature some people may think me to be. In time, I believe that I will have matured more than I am now and surely, it will show in the posts that I make, the changes in my appearance, and the changes in everything else.

In addition to starting up today, a couple of entertaining things had happened upon me. First of all, I managed to see Namie Amuro's BEST FICTION Tour 2009 through youtube before Avex got rid of them all, and boy do they work fast. The tour itself I found quite great, poor Namie was tired through her performances and it showed. Nonetheless she did an amazing job and pushed through her exhaustion. I enjoyed each and every performances, but the ones that I looked forward to the most and enjoyed the most were 'Do Me More' and 'White Light.' Two songs that I absolutely love from that BEST album.

Aside from all of that, a friend of mine showed me a picture that I found hilarious. A parody from Kanye West's disrespectful and foolish move towards Taylor Swift at this year's Video Music Awards. Quite entertaining to me, I do apologize if anyone finds this to be offensive. That about wraps up this first post unless I make more entries tonight. I'm not sure yet but we'll see how that goes. Until next time then.
